THE PUBLICATION

About

The Earnings Ledger is an independent U.S.-English magazine about understanding pay-record arithmetic and labels before asking payroll a precise question.

Our reader job

We separate what a record displays, what an equation can reproduce and what still requires an explanation. The articles work through units and rates, overlapping earnings displays, current and cumulative values, supplied deductions, withholding, additional earnings, reimbursements, signed corrections, separate employers, date labels and year-end comparisons.

Our local Net-Pay Equation Lab uses fictional inputs only. It adds supplied amounts in integer cents. It does not calculate taxes, determine legal pay, forecast a deposit or connect to an account. A matching total does not prove that its inputs or classifications are correct.

Publisher and independence

This publication is not affiliated with, sponsored by or operated by Corpay Prepaid. Subject names identify the subjects of the articles, not the publisher. The publisher funds this website. This publication does not receive affiliate commissions or payment for the articles in this collection.

The provider’s official notice says Fintwist is now Corpay Prepaid. Its public pages distinguish PayCard’s payroll purpose from FlexCard’s business-disbursement context. Those names identify the subject, not this publication. Product descriptions do not define an employer’s payroll fields or classify an individual payment.

Sources, examples and limits

Official sources were checked October 14, 2026. Links near relevant claims and at each article’s end identify their limited context. Most of the work here is original explanatory method and fictional arithmetic. Illustrations were created for the publication; they are diagrams and editorial artwork, not photographs of actual people or authentic payroll records.

This collection was prepared with automated assistance using the public sources cited in the articles. A source-check date records a source review, not a professional certification or an account test. The publisher is responsible for deciding what is published and for assessing reported corrections.

We do not provide individualized legal, tax, financial or employment advice. We do not determine whether a deduction is lawful, whether hours are compensable or which tax treatment applies. Readers can seek qualified or official help without completing our exercises. This publication is not a payroll department, card issuer, government agency or customer-support channel.

Corrections and accessibility

Use the publication contact address to report a broken source, an unclear passage or an error. Include the article address and a public reference. This website does not access payment accounts, accept financial records, or provide official Corpay Prepaid support.

To report a problem, identify the public article and the sentence, equation or control involved. Public sources are welcome. Do not send pay statements, tax forms, receipts, account information, identity records or credentials. The Contact page explains the publication-only route.
